When one thinks of a master painter with collectible works, one of thinks of masters like Dali, Magritte, Monet and others. Although, there are many artists who draw, paint and sketch which are either still living and walking among us, or have works far more recent than these amazing pieces which hang in the most renown museums of the world. Alexander Koleszar is only one of many though he started his career quite early in life.
While the artist has been focused on his painting career since childhood, it was also during childhood in which the hobby caused Alexander a great deal of grief. Children in the neighborhood would often bully and tease him about the tools and tricks used in painting. If this was not difficult enough, many of his real friends then passed during the AIDs epidemic of the early 1980s.
During this period, the painter also experienced a personal and professional crisis in a number of different endeavors. After a long illness, he recovered and once again started creating art. It was also during this time that the artist regained interest and once again began working on his art. After which, he worked tirelessly on honing these new skills.
After which, Alexander put a great deal of passion into creating pieces which directly related to a long illness which the artist had overcome, and the loss of so many friends to AIDs. During this time, it seemed as if all new works were going to be based on this past darkness. While the artist exhibited one piece, Returning Home, and had inquiries from collectors, it was not until later when he started actively selling work.
One of the artist's originals, Returning Home, took its place amid other novice and professional artists at an event in Los Angeles in the mid-80s. It is interesting to note that this piece was only one of two paintings selected for installation at the event. Following the event, Koleszar was contacted by several different collectors from the United States and Europe.
Regardless of this immediate and overwhelming interests, the painter decided to refocus on learning the details of classical painting and drawing techniques. At this point and time, Koleszar left his own inspiration behind and worked with a well known classical painter as well as a well known drawing instructor. Both of which provided the artist with a great deal of knowledge and skill with regards to these alternate art forms.
Although the artist has exhibited art in the past, it was not until these new exhibits that the artist gained ground as "New and Emerging Artist, " which is often the first step to success for artists, poets, writers and others who work in these genres. While it is often easy to enter a piece in contests or shows, acceptance is often fare more difficult. Although, for those who have had any past experience, it can often be a great deal easier as long as one has a piece the judges and jury feel has a chance against other competition.
With new reviews also comparing the artist's most recent work to that of others who now live in infamy in galleries and museums around the world, it's no wonder so many collectors have become interested. It also helps that the artist studied with masters in these two fields in between shows. Regardless of comparisons to Dali, Magritte, Warhol or others, Alexander's art has remained original in concept and thought throughout the artist's career.
