Why Take Your Kids To Children Ministry And Gospel Prayer Service

By Matthew Campbell

It is believed by all and sundry that children are the leaders of tomorrow. The Bible therefore encourages parents to train their children well as it is written in Proverbs 22:6. Therefore, if you want your child to become a leader in the years to come, you have to train him up the right way.

Training up a child involves a lot but the most significant is to make him fear God. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom so children who are taught this principle early in life are more likely to prosper than their mates. This is one of the visions of children ministry and gospel prayer service activities.

At the ministry and gospel prayer service, the child learns some godly principles that can make him wise at a tender age. For example, the child learns how to read the Bible and interpret it, pray earnestly, give sacrificially, love the neighbors, respect people and many other godly principles.

Many people forget to pray when they want to take important decisions concerning their lives but this is not the case with those who grow up in a prayer service ministry. A child learns the benefits of prayer and fasting, intercession and the need to have quality quiet times in prayer services. Their prayers are powerful and the Lord delights to hear their honest demands.

Moreover, prayer service brings children closer to God so that they can have eternal happiness. This means that children who grow in the ministry are most likely to give their lives to Christ, become sanctified and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Achieving these virtues at a younger age makes their walk with God easier and the possibility of making Heaven more realistic.

If you study the lives of some men of God you may see that they had some foundation in the children ministry. They must have started following Christ at a tender age and given their life to Christ even before they finished high school. Part of their activities may have also included Bible recitation, Bible quiz contests and more.

Children who are taken to the ministry at an early age are able to avoid the consequences of sin. As the child is told what to do as a Christian, he automatically refrains from the unwholesome acts of sin. This is like saying that as one draws closer to God, the tendency to be close to Satan is reduced. The effects of sin such as drug abuse, armed robbery, fornication and adultery are uncommon among people who proclaim Christ.

Kids born into abusive homes may be affected by the sour relationship displayed by their parents except if they are taken to church where they meet other kids who share positive experiences of how their parents live peacefully. If you are such a parent whose home is not quite conducive for your child to learn, it is best to take him to his ministry as early as possible. You wouldn't want your child to grow up with the notion that parents must always live in disharmony.
